PayLink: Euna Cashiering’s Latest Feature to Facilitate Easier Payments

Advancements in technology and the digitization of payments have not meant the end of in-person or over-the-phone payments. In fact, a significant percentage of customers either prefer to make payments in traditional ways or simply have no choice. Less tech-savvy customers continue to opt for staff assisted methods that provide support through most, or all, of the transaction process. This has fueled innovation in the payments space, particularly with the cashiering technology used to support customers at payment centers. Vendors have developed features that help customers that are used to traditional ways of making payments take steps forward toward more modern payment processing.

Innovation that Harnesses Advancements without Leaving Any Customers Behind

Vendors everywhere are working hard to launch features that support customers who continue to pay bills in the traditional ways, while also supporting customers that welcome, or even demand, new, innovative bill payment methods. That is why companies are developing features like PayLink, a powerful new feature of cashiering technology that supports both over-the-phone and in-person customers.

Developed by Euna Payments, PayLink enables staff to put together a digital shopping cart for customers. Customers can make payments by coming into a payment center or calling in for support. Either way, the staff member can compile all of a customer’s obligations into one digital shopping cart and send a payment link directly to the customer via text message or email. The customer can then click the link, navigate directly to the shopping cart, and complete the payment from their own device.

Added Flexibility Encourages Customers to Adopt New Technology

Customers can use any device to finish the transaction, including their desktop, laptop, tablet, or mobile phone. Since the transaction remains linked to source systems, accounts are updated in real time, granting staff immediate access to transaction data. This positions them to answer follow-up questions from customers on the spot with complete information. Plus, from a security standpoint, the transaction remains PCI-compliant from start to finish, whether over the phone or in person.

Closing the Distance Between Old and New Approaches

PayLink effectively bridges the gap between the traditional ways of making payments and more modern ones, giving customers a softer approach to making payments in new ways, and supporting higher adoption. The benefits also support organizations, reducing the burden on staff by streamlining processes and allowing them to focus on more complex transactions.
