Small Business Week 2024: How Euna Marketplace, by EqualLevel, Makes its Mark

Orville Bailey co-founded EqualLevel in 2010 with Edward Potocko and led the acquisition by Euna Solutions in 2024. Orville has over 20 years of experience in eCommerce, B2B spend management, and corporate leadership and continues to support EqualLevel, now called Euna Marketplace. 


In 2024, EqualLevel was acquired by Euna Solutions® as part of the Euna Procurement offering. And although we are now part of a large-scale company, we started out small, which is why Small Business Week is particularly important to us. Furthermore, our solution helps to support many small businesses in communities across the US, and that’s something we’re proud of!  

National Small Business Week 2024 is a reminder of our roots and the challenges we overcame as a small business ourselves. This designation underscores our belief in providing equal opportunities for all; my dedication stems from the desire to foster innovation and economic growth within our communities. Our journey is deeply rooted in the belief that every business, regardless of its size or stature, deserves an equal and level opportunity to succeed. 

Our journey at EqualLevel (now Euna Marketplace) began in 2009, driven by a vision to level the playing field for businesses of all sizes. With Eddie Potocko as Co-founder, we embarked on this mission with around 20 employees at our largest, experiencing firsthand the hurdles that small businesses encounter in the eCommerce landscape. Eddie’s extensive experience in software and technology, along with my background in eCommerce, B2B spend management, and corporate leadership, we recognized the challenges faced by small enterprises when competing with larger counterparts. 

How Euna Marketplace (formerly EqualLevel) supports small businesses 

Together, we set out a clear goal: create a platform promoting fair competition, transparency, and access to opportunities. The result was an inclusive and diverse eProcurement solution designed for government buyers and suppliers, equipping them with modern competitive tools like web storefronts. What started as a simple idea quickly grew. Leveraging cooperative contracts, personalized individual solutions, and piggyback opportunities, we empowered small businesses to connect and transact with our online users, unlocking new avenues for growth and expansion.  

Over the last 15 years, we have been and continue to be humbled by the stories and scale of our small business users. Through Euna Marketplace’s expansive buyer network comprising over 100 public sector agencies, small businesses gain unparalleled access to opportunities and promotion. Last year alone, our platform facilitated approximately $483 million in spend across 70 unique suppliers, demonstrating the significant economic impact of our small business solution across the broader market. 

Now we can do more for small businesses 

For us, this week represents a time to honor the resilience, ingenuity, and dedication embodied by small businesses, while also supporting their continued success through recognition and celebration.
