The

Procurement

Awards

are back.

Innovation and Digital Transformation Award

Jennifer Frates, County of Barnstable

Nomination:
“As a one person department, modernizing and streamlining the procurement process for our regional government and cooperative county bids has taken a once “transactional” department to a much more data driven, strategic operation.”

Innovation and Digital Transformation Award

Luba Cramer, City of Akron

Nomination:
“Luba is a new Purchasing Agent for the City of Akron. She came in and changed so many areas for the better in purchasing. She thinks outside the box and is willing to try new and innovative things to improve the department. She is upbeat and inspiring. She is one of the best managers I have had.”

Power User Award

Chelsea Kiebzak, Erie County Medical Center

Nomination:
“Chelsea is our Bonfire expert. She promotes and assists all vendors and employees with the process. Bonfire is a part of her daily routine. Chelsea has been able to successfully train users for the RFP system to enhance process and efficiency for ECMC’s RFP’s. With her knowledge the system has been able to reduce time and enhance the process also for the vendors.”

Power User Award

Tom Lam, University of Victoria

Nomination:
“The foundation of most of the knowledge I have of Bonfire is through Tom and his guidance.”

Leadership Award

Doris Emeka-Oyenwe, Fort Bend Independent School District

Nomination:
“Doris heads the Purchasing Bonfire Committee. She worked with Bonfire to initiate the district’s bidding portal and continues to excel and train Buyers.”

Leadership Award

Cheri Estrada, Tacoma Public Schools

“Cheri has been a great leader and champion for our Bonfire system. She assists and trains all staff and even speaks with and shares knowledge with other agencies interested in using the system. We put out several RFP’s and bids each month and she has the expertise to make them successful.”

Leadership Award

Olusegun Daodu, University of Manitoba

Procurement Excellence Award

Joe Lopez, Community Asset Builders

We get so excited when they can reinvest that savings back into their leadership and front line staff, ultimately making the patient experience that much better!”

Procurement Excellence Award

Purchasing Department, Magnolia Independent School District

Nomination:
“The last couple of years have been laced with many challenges. This department has utilized every resource, including Bonfire, to overcome these challenges as a department that has only been in existence for two years. We have taken the hits as they’ve come, adjusted, and even obtained awards and acknowledgments for our accomplishments. This team can handle anything including building a department from scratch during the two most difficult procurement years in the last decade. Truly, a resilient team.”

Procurement Excellence Award

Tiara Peterson, Pinal County

Nomination:
“Tiara has consistently been an “outside-of-the-box” thinker in her professional career and that has not stopped since she has come to Pinal County.”
